The story to perhaps one of the most lackluster and disappointing transfers of all time has come to an end.

"We are all Vinícius" – Real Madrid show love to Vini Jr. after racist incident in LaLiga

Goals by Karim Benzema and Rodrygo earned Real Madrid a 2-1 win over mid-table Rayo Vallecano in LaLiga on Wednesday as fans and players showed their support for Vinicius Jr, who was subject to racial abuse over the weekend.

Real's Brazilian forward Vinicius received a tribute ahead of the game after being the target of racist insults during the 1-0 loss at Valencia on Sunday.

"We are all Vinicius. Enough is enough," said a banner displayed behind one of the goals at the Santiago Bernabeu, among many other messages of support for him.

Spanish police have arrested seven people after racial abuse toward Vinícius Jr.

MADRID — Police detained seven men on Tuesday over separate alleged hate crime incidents against Real Madrid football player Vinicius Jr as Spain's main soccer league urged changes to Spanish law that would enable it to take steps to curb racism in stadiums.

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti expressed support for Vinicius Jr, whom he expected would remain at the club.

He lambasted Spain's "obsolete" protocols to deal with racism in the sport, and said he would consider taking his players off the pitch if they were to be abused again during a game.

Not even Thibaut ‘spaghetti limbs’ Courtois could save Real Madrid from unstoppable City

In the battle between Thibaut Courtois and Erling Haaland the Real Madrid keeper came up victorious. Alas he couldn’t keep out the relentless hordes of Manchester City attacks as the defending Premier League champions won 4-0 (5-1 on aggregate) to book their ticket to the UEFA Champions League final on Wednesday.

City deserve all the credit for their victory. They outclassed Real Madrid on every inch of the field. The area of most difficulty was trying to get past Courtois in goal.

Erling Haaland's dad escorted away from Santiago Bernabéu VIP seats after trolling Real Madrid fans

While Erling Haaland was struggling to free himself from Antonio Rüdiger during Manchester City's 1-1 draw versus Real Madrid in the Champions League semifinals on Tuesday night, his father Alf-Inge was having an intense confrontation with Real Madrid fans in the Santiago Bernabéu stands.

Alfie was a guest in one of the stadium's VIP boxes and had several exchanges with Real Madrid supporters, including some caught on camera.

Vini Jr vs. Kyle Walker is game recognize game; Grealish vs. Carvajal is pure hatred

After 90 minutes of thrilling action at the Bernabéu on Tuesday night, it sure would be nice if we could just immediately go to the Etihad and scratch the itch for more of Real Madrid vs. Manchester City. This is highly addictive stuff.

The first leg saw Vinícius Júnior and Kevin De Bruyne exchange thunderously rifled efforts for a 1-1 draw, while the rhythm of the match mirrored this give and take with the individual battles turning into a series of brutal punches followed by staggering counters.

I think this CBS tweet is a pretty accurate summary of it all.
