You’ve Been Saying José Mourinho’s Name Wrong

Constantly pronouncing someone’s name wrong is a microaggression. And if you don’t agree with that then you have probably never had your name mispronounced on a daily basis.

In Amazon Prime’s upcoming series All or Nothing: Tottenham Hotspur, Tottenham manager José Mourinho reveals that people have been pronouncing his name wrong since the beginning — and it drives him nuts.

The series released a teaser for the episode (set to come out later this summer) that shows Mourinho saying, “Everybody gets my name wrong."

Pulisic’s Hamstring Injury Is A Troubling Sign For Chelsea, Says Frank Lampard

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard says starting the new Premier League season on Sept. 12 is too early and his players run the risk of sustaining injuries given the short turnaround between campaigns.

Chelsea trail Bayern Munich 3-0 heading into the second leg of their Champions League last-16 tie on Saturday and even if they fail to overcome the deficit Lampard's side will have little over a month to recover before the new season begins.

This List Of The World’s Richest Clubs From 1998 Is A Wild Sight

Back in January, Deloitte published its annual Football Money League table to showcase the 20 highest earning football clubs in the world based on turnover for the 2018-19 season. At the top was Barcelona with revenues of over $1 billion. Revenue growth amongst the world’s wealthiest clubs has been exponential over the last decade, a fact that’s verified by Barça’s 1997-98 turnover of $63.5 million — the sixth-highest number on the planet at the time.

Wait, This Is What Nike Came Up With For The Newly Crowned Premier League Champs?

Given that Liverpool just won its first Premier League title ever and first league championship in 30 years, Reds fans were going to gobble up whatever new jersey the club released for the next season. Maybe with that in mind, the 2020-21 Liverpool home kit was unveiled on Saturday.

Newcastle Exit Looks Likely For DeAndre Yedlin

After 115 appearances for Newcastle United, it looks likely that DeAndre Yedlin's time on Tyneside has come to an end.

Yedlin, capped 62 times by the USMNT, arrived at Newcastle in 2016 after completing a season-long loan spell from Tottenham at the Magpies' archrival Sunderland. Yedlin excelled under noted defensive specialist Rafa Benitez, helping the Toon achieve promotion back to the Premier League at the first attempt after the club was relegated in 2015-16.

A Celebration Of AFC Bournemouth's Unlikely Premier League Run

By all accounts, Bournemouth never should have made it to the Premier League.

In February of 2008, the club entered administration due to $4 million in unpaid debts and was deducted ten points in the league standings. Bournemouth was relegated to League Two at the end of the season, and at the beginning of the following campaign the club was still very much on the brink of insolvency.

Norwich Acting Early In Transfer Market To Avoid Repeat Of Relegation Season

Norwich City manager Daniel Farke and sporting director Stuart Webber have been proactive in their attempt to rebuild the Canaries’ squad following relegation from the Premier League after this season’s last-placed finish.

Norwich secured promotion back to the top flight after finishing first in the 2018-19 Championship. The club endured a dismal Premier League campaign, winning just five games and finishing 14 points away from the safety of 17th place. Farke’s side scored a league-worst 26 goals in 38 games and also conceded the most goals in the division (75).

Newcastle’s Saudi Arabia-Backed Takeover Collapses After Consortium Withdraws Bid

The proposed takeover of Premier League club Newcastle United by a Saudi Arabian-backed consortium has collapsed after the group announced they were ending their interest in the deal.

The group, which included Saudi Arabia's sovereign wealth fund PIF, PCP Capital Partners and Reuben Brothers, was reported to have made a $391 million bid to buy United from British businessman Mike Ashley.

Remembering The ‘Baby Faced Assassin’

Close your eyes and imagine where you were July 29, 1996. I wasn’t born yet, but I like to imagine that I would have been on a plane to a tropical vacation…

If you were the Baby Faced Assassin, then you would have just joined Manchester United as an underdog who took the Red Devils by storm.

Willian's Agent Confirms Chelsea Winger Has Large Offer From MLS Club Among European Offers

Longtime Chelsea winger Willian looks set to leave after seven seasons with the London club. Willian will turn 32 in two weeks and could play his final match for Chelsea in the FA Cup final against Arsenal on Saturday. His current contract expires in August and he has a handful of options for where he could play next, including MLS.

Willian’s agent, Kia Joorabchian, said in an interview with Talksport that he has two offers from Premier League clubs, two offers from Europe and a large offer from an unannounced MLS club.
