New Coach, Overhauled Roster, Sad Boy Messi — What The Hell Is Barça Gonna Do This Season?

BARCELONA — After selling five key players and employing a coach more than happy to take on the established order, Barcelona begin their LaLiga campaign at home to Villarreal on Sunday in unchartered territory.

Seething from their 8-2 thrashing by Bayern Munich in the Champions League and a first trophyless campaign since 2007-08, Barca have made some big changes and will line up with a very different side to the one that ambled through last season.

On Sunday in women’s college soccer, the Duke Blue Devils and Wake Forest Demon Deacons played to a hellish 0-0 draw after 90 minutes of regular time and two 10-minute overtime periods.

Wake Forest had the best opportunity at winning in the 99th-minute when a Duke foul near the edge of the area resulted in a penalty for the Demon Deacons.

But the tame effort from the spot was saved, and Wake Forest coach Tony da Luz couldn’t hide his displeasure when kicking a crate. The crate, however, fought back and eventually KO’d the manager.

Which Premier League Clubs Could Face Relegation This Season?

Last year, Liverpool had the Premier League title all but clinched during the second half of the season, which meant that much of the focus landed on the lower reaches of the table. Forgotten Genius: How Sam Allardyce's Tenure At Bolton Helped Transform Modern Football

"He was what I called a ball-playing defender," long-time friend Dave Bassett said of Sam Allardyce, "If he wasn't playing with the ball he was playing with your balls."
