3 players we’re excited to see and 3 who got snubbed from latest USMNT roster

The 24-man squad for the United States men’s national team’s upcoming Concacaf Nations League Finals was revealed on Thursday and pleased most American fans. The list comprises four players from MLS, two from Liga MX, 16 from Europe and one from South America.

Lionel Messi will play his last game for Paris St Germain against Clermont on Saturday, coach Christophe Galtier said on Thursday as he called on fans to give the Argentine forward a warm send-off at the Parc des Princes.

Messi, who has 21 goals and 20 assists for PSG in all competitions this season, moved to the French capital from Barcelona in 2021 on a two-year contract.

BJ Callaghan appointed as USMNT coach following Anthony Hudson's unexpected exit

Anthony Hudson has stepped down from his role as interim manager of the U.S. men's national team and will be replaced by his assistant B.J. Callaghan while a search for a permanent head coach is underway, the U.S. Soccer Federation said on Tuesday.

Hudson, 42, was appointed interim manager in January but has decided to leave for a new opportunity. Previous manager Gregg Berhalter's contract expired at the end of 2022 shortly after he guided the United States to the last 16 at the World Cup.

AS Roma suffered a late collapse to lose 2-1 to Fiorentina on Saturday, effectively ending any hopes Jose Mourinho's side had of a top four finish in Serie A.

Roma are sixth in the standings on 60 points from 37 games. They are four points behind AC Milan in fourth, who face Juventus on Sunday. Atalanta, in fifth with 61 points, play Inter Milan later on Saturday.

Both Roma and Fiorentina began the match at a slow pace as they look forward to cup finals in Europe.
