Mexican international winger Hirving "Chucky" Lozano is lighting the Eredivisie in his first season in Europe with PSV. The 22-year-old has 11 goals in 14 appearances in all competitions for the Dutch side, and from the looks of it he's just getting started.
The World Cup draw took place this morning and, as usual, some groups are more exciting than other groups. Group D, for example. Group D is better than all the other groups. Group D is going to be the most entertaining group at Russia 2018 by a country mile (and that country is Russia, do you see what I did there?), but you don't have to take my word for it, even though you should.
Let's break it down:
Argentina
The winner of the 2017 Ballon d’Or will be announced in a week (December 7) at an insufferable awards gala in Paris, but it’ll be a non-event for those who don’t identify as legionnaire fanboys of either Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi. One of the two will win it and deserve to win it, and the needle is decidedly edging towards Ronaldo after another monster season that saw Real Madrid outperform Barcelona in both the Champions League and La Liga.
Five-year-old Thiago Messi is obviously too young to understand that there’s nothing more serious than a football awards gala. That’s why FIFA and UEFA spend hours patting themselves on the back while dragging out an exercise that should really only take roughly 10-15 minutes. It’s a place for old men in expensive suits to enjoy upper, upper class high society, not general mirth.
Lionel Messi and Andres Iniesta are rightly considered both two of the best dribblers and two of the best passers in the world. One of the main reasons this is so delightful is they are on the same team, and get to flash their brilliance in tandem. That's what they did against a packed-in Valencia defense Sunday.
