The Messi clan has arrived in the United States. Disembarking from their $15.5 million private jet, Lionel, Antonela, Thiago, Ciro and Mateo were recorded at the Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport on Tuesday afternoon, just hours after the official Lionel Messi presentation date and time was confirmed by Inter Miami.

This travel experience is nothing new for the Messi family as they've frequented Miami during the offseason. It hasn't been confirmed where they'll be living permanently, but for now the Messis will reside at the Porsche Design Tower in Sunny Isles Beach. 

So, Lionel Messi is coming to Inter Miami. But when exactly is he coming?

It has been almost a month since the Argentine world champion announced that he would be joining MLS. However, he still hasn't set foot in the United States.

Where is he?

We know he is on vacation, but we're not sure of his exact location.

Messi’s contract with PSG also expired on Friday meaning that on his last day of being under contract for a European club he won the goal of the season award. Not a bad way to go out.

MLS revealed the 26-player roster for the upcoming All-Star Game against Arsenal, which will be played in Washington D.C. on July 19. 

The list includes a World Cup champion, but before you get all excited, that man is not Lionel Messi: Heading the squad is Atlanta United star and Lio's countryman, Thiago Almada.

It's probably for the best that Lionel Messi was way too busy to watch Inter Miami play on Saturday night. While the Herons were getting smacked 4-1 by Philadelphia for a seventh consecutive defeat in MLS, Messi was celebrating his 36th birthday in his hometown of Rosario and playing in a testimonial match for Newell's Old Boys legend Maxi Rodríguez.

Among the reasons Lionel Messi decided to play for Inter Miami is the idea of enjoying soccer "in a calmer way" while having more time around his family.

Sure, it sounds like a long-term vacation, a downgrade to an ill-called "retirement league," but the truth is Messi shouldn't let his guard down.  

Not only because there are defenders like Walker Zimmermann and Miles Robinson that can make him run for his money, but also because off the pitch, there are a series of animals and critters living in Florida that he — and his lovely family — should be keeping an eye on.
