PSG Trifecta Of Neymar, Mbappe And Cavani All Score In 5-1 Win Over Metz

Paris Saint-Germain almost broke the internet on Friday by announcing a starting XI against Metz that took all of the world’s money to assemble, including Neymar ($263M), Kylian Mbappe ($220M), Edinson Cavani ($77M) and Julian Draxler ($48M). Metz, by comparison, turned to Newcastle United flop Emmanuel Riviere.

Montpellier Realizes Embarrassing Typo On Jerseys Four Matches Into Season

Remember those awful spelling tests growing up? The ones that seemed so pointless because everything has spellcheck these days? Well, maybe your teacher had a point; maybe those exercises weren’t so useless after all.

Four matches into the Ligue 1 season, Montpellier realized the club’s jerseys, both official and fan-bought, were produced with a typo on the team crest located on the left breast of the shirt. Montpellier was spelled with one ‘L’ instead of two, even though it's spelled correctly on the right side of the chest. Oof.

La Liga's President Says PSG Is "Peeing In The Pool"

La Liga president Javier Tebas is not happy with PSG's handling of Financial Fair Play rules this summer. Could that be because PSG bought one of his league's most marketable stars, a player who was sure to be the face of the league in a few years' time, for an exhorbitant price and one of the giants of his league couldn't hang on to said young star? Is Javier Tevas extremely bitter about this?

Examining The Insane Numbers In AS Monaco’s Transfer Market Dealings

AS Monaco is a bit of an enigma. A French club not actually in France, Monaco’s rebirth dating back to 2011 has taken the club from the bottom of Ligue 2 to the top of Ligue 1, from one extreme of the transfer market to the other.

Similarly, America's favorite fantasy dragon incest jamboree has reached the conclusion of its penultimate season, and storylines are just as all over the place as the summer transfer window. In fact, I have noticed some striking similarities between the two.

Poetic Justice Finds Falcao In The Best Form Of His Career Before The World Cup

Up until their quarterfinal defeat to Brazil, no side was more thoroughly entertaining at the 2014 World Cup than Colombia. James Rodriguez was the tournament’s standout performer and plenty of additional firepower was provided by the likes of Juan Cuadrado, Jackson Martinez and Teofilo Gutierrez.

Lyon’s Nabil Fekir Uncorks One From Nearly 60 Yards Out

Lyon captain Nabil Fekir scored a legitimate contender for Ligue 1’s Goal of the Season on Saturday. The 24-year-old attacker intercepted a Bordeaux pass in his own half, took one touch and laced an effort from the halfway line for the game’s opening goal.

The quick-thinking and perfect execution left Bordeaux goalkeeper Benoit Costil absolutely no chance — Fekir’s effort was struck with an incredible amount of pace and accuracy from almost 60 yards out.
