Carli Lloyd explains her refusal to kneel during Olympics and says Megan Rapinoe was a distraction

Former United States women’s national team captain Carli Lloyd was a guest on the new CBS show “Kickin’ It” with Kate Abdo, Clint Dempsey, Mo Edu and Charlie Davies. During the episode Lloyd shared why she refused to kneel at the Olympics and conversations she had with Megan Rapinoe back in 2016.

The cast of the show also had a short moment to discuss their reactions to Lloyd’s answers after she had left.

Two of the big questions that Abdo asked Lloyd were why she refused to take a knee before the bronze medal game vs. Australia and the feelings between her and Rapinoe.

The home of the NFL's Rams and Chargers was originally thought to be one of three contenders to host the World Cup final, along with MetLife Stadium (East Rutherford, N.J.) and AT&T Stadium (Arlington, Texas).

Previous reports indicated that Stan Kroenke, owner of SoFi Stadium and the Rams, is unhappy with the proposed financial split between FIFA, the city and the stadium.

A long-distance Ukraine goal vs North Macedonia helped secure an important 2-0 victory on Saturday and moved the team one step closer to Euro 2024 qualification.

The second goal for Ukraine came in the 95th minute when Oleksandr Karavayev caught North Macedonia’s goalkeeper WAY out of position.

After replacing Chelsea’s Mykhailo Mudryk in the 88th minute, Karavayev scored a goal from over 35 yards out. While the goalkeeper definitely failed here, you have to give some credit for the strike.
