Megan Rapinoe, star player and activist, bid farewell to the U.S. women's national team in a 2-0 victory against South Africa in Chicago on Sunday.

Rapinoe, 38, walked off the field in the 54th minute for the last time for the U.S., but will complete the season for OL Reign of the National Women's Soccer League.

Harry Kane breaks a Bayern goal-scoring record after scoring hat trick vs. Bochum

MUNICH — Bayern Munich forward Harry Kane scored his first Bundesliga hat-trick and delivered two assists in their 7-0 demolition of VfL Bochum on Saturday to take his tally to seven and set a club record for most goals by a player in his first five league matches.

Kane's three goals put him above club great Gerd Müller, Miroslav Klose and Mario Mandzukic who all scored five times in their first five Bundesliga games.

Julie Ertz exits field for the last time in her career as USWNT defeat South Africa 3-0

Julie Ertz wore the captain’s armband for her 123rd and final appearance with the United States women’s national team on Thursday as the U.S. defeated South Africa 3-0 at TQL Stadium in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Ertz had her curtain call in the 36th minute as she was given a standing ovation and made way for Andi Sullivan. Before exiting the field, she hugged teammates, acknowledged the 22,016 fans and passed the armband off to Lindsey Horan.

EFL League One side Portsmouth accomplished an amazing feat on Tuesday when the club managed to score two goals in the same minute against Barnsley.

Portsmouth managed to open the scoring and double their lead in the eighth minute. It started with a penalty kick that striker Colby Bishop converted. The penalty was scored right after the clock had ticked over to 7:01, AKA the eighth minute.

Then in the span of less than 60 seconds a celebration took place, the kickoff was taken, Portsmouth regained possession and managed to score again.

A Lazio goalkeeper goal vs. Atlético Madrid on Tuesday was the biggest highlight of UEFA Champions League action on the day. 

Lazio trailed 1-0 in the final seconds of the game and their Italian goalkeeper Ivan Provedel became the most unlikely hero. After coming up for a corner kick he timed a perfect run and fired in a beautiful headed goal.

United States men’s national team fans might have felt discouraged on Tuesday to see the Christian Pulisic benched news. For the first time this season Pulisic wasn’t in AC Milan’s starting XI as the club hosted Newcastle to a 0-0 draw in their UEFA Champions League opener.
