Brentford can’t stop scoring in first minute of play and do it for third week in-a-row

There are certain myths and legends in soccer that are the most lethal goal scorers. Arjen Robben cutting inside is a prime example, but a new legacy has arrived: Brentford in the first minute.

On Saturday the Bees scored in the opening minute of a Premier League game for the third time in-a-row.

Bryan Mbeumo found the back of the net against West Ham on Saturday in Brentford’s 1-1 draw. One week prior he scored against Tottenham in the first minute of play.

The Christian Pulisic goal vs Lecce on Friday marked the American’s fourth game in-a-row scoring for AC Milan. He’s off to a flying start to the season.

Milan came to life at the end of the first half with three goals in the span of five minutes. Pulisic made it 3-0 in the 43rd minute when he struck from close range.

A Tammy Abraham shot pinballed around in the Lecce box before falling to the feet of the American who made no mistake.

Kylian Mbappé scores sensational goal marking six in his last five games for Real Madrid

Real Madrid survived a late scare as goals by Lucas Vazquez, Kylian Mbappé and Rodrygo gave them a 3-2 home win over Deportivo Alaves in LaLiga on Tuesday.

Carlos Benavidez and Kike Garcia scored in the 85th and 86th minutes for Alaves but Real held on to win a match they had mostly dominated.

Real doubled their lead in the 40th minute when Mbappé played a neat one-two with Jude Bellingham before cutting inside and slotting a tidy finish to the right of the goalkeeper.

10-man Arsenal suffer last-minute equalizer to Manchester City in match-of-the-season contender

MANCHESTER, England, Sept 22 (Reuters) - John Stones scored deep in injury time as Manchester City salvaged a 2-2 draw with 10-man Arsenal on Sunday to remain top of the Premier League table after a rip-roaring battle against their bitter title rivals.

The draw in what was more of a slugfest than a chess match left Pep Guardiola's men with 13 points after five matches, while Mikel Arteta's Arsenal are fourth with 11.

The Guglielmo Vicario handball vs. Brentford shocked fans as the Italian goalkeeper got away with one of the crazier acts we’ve seen on Saturday.

During Tottenham’s 3-1 victory, Vicario evaded the law with a wild sequence early in the second half.

Spurs were holding onto a 2-1 lead when a dangerous cross was whipped toward the top of Vicario’s penalty area. The 27-year-old leapt to claim the ball but made a mess of things.

United States phenom Cavan Sullivan made his second-ever Major League Soccer appearance for the Philadelphia Union on Wednesday and wowed fans with a clever dribble.

Sullivan will turn 15 on Sept. 28 but is still racking up the accolades and highlights as a 14-year-old. During Wednesday’s game against New York City FC the youngster showed off his pace as he outran a defender and drew a yellow card.

David Raya’s incredible double save from penalty kick earns Arsenal a point vs. Atalanta

BERGAMO — Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya secured his side a hard-earned point with a sensational penalty save in a 0-0 draw away to Atalanta in their Champions League opener on Thursday.

Spaniard Raya dived low to his right to beat out Mateo Retegui's spot kick in the 51st minute then sprang across his goal to claw away the forward's follow up header.

Christian Pulisic strikes in Champions League with another highlight moment vs. Liverpool

Christian Pulisic scored the opener of AC Milan’s 3-1 Champions League defeat against Liverpool on Tuesday as the American punished the Reds yet again.

The latest Pulisic goal vs Liverpool saw the United States men’s national team forward strike less than three minutes into the contest. Pulisic had a great run down the right side before arrowing a low shot to the bottom corner.

Weston McKennie bags Champions League goal in his first Juve start this season

U.S. midfielder Weston McKennie scored his first goal for Juventus in 693 days as he struck in their Champions League opener vs. PSV on Tuesday.

Tuesday’s game was a surprise start for the American as he had only featured in one of Juve’s previous four games, starting none of them.

In the 27th minute McKennie was poaching in front of the PSV goal and made no mistake when given the opportunity from close range.
