City win first UCL title thanks to key Romelu Lukaku goal-saving clearance… against his own team

Manchester City are UEFA Champions League winners for the first time in club history after defeating Inter Milan 1-0 on Saturday in the final in Istanbul, Turkey. The victory sees City complete the treble of winning the Champions League, Premier League and FA Cup all in the same season.

Critics and pundits heavily favored City to win, however it was anything but easy for the EPL giants. Pep Guardiola’s City side came out flat while Inter were fantastic defensively to frustrate and push City to their limits.

Remember Brad Guzan? He absolutely balled out vs. LAFC with nine saves

Brad Guzan made nine saves to secure a road point for Atlanta United in a 0-0 draw with Los Angeles FC on Wednesday.

The draw extended unbeaten streaks for both teams. Atlanta is 1-0-4 in its past five MLS games, while Los Angeles is 2-0-2 in its past four.

The result had the feel of two lost points for LAFC (7-1-5, 26 points) given how the home team dominated play. Los Angeles outshot Atlanta United by a 22-4 margin, including an 8-0 edge in shots on target.

The match at Prague's Eden Arena looked like it was heading to extra time when Lucas Paqueta slipped a ball through to Bowen who outpaced the defenders and fired home past a sprawling Fiorentina keeper.

FC Cincinnati's Álvaro Barreal scores a must-see winner in the US Open Cup

FC Cincinnati winger Álvaro Barreal is one of the few who prefers to crush our “cupset” dreams. Fortunately for us, he lessened the blow with a goal so technically brilliant, we’re just glad we got to see it.

Superb Alyssa Thompson assist sees Sydney Leroux score her first goal after 11 months out with injury

Angel City forward Sydney Leroux was in tears Monday night after an emotional return to the field. Leroux had been sidelined for the past 11 months and scored in her first game back during Angel City’s 2-1 defeat to the Chicago Red Stars.

Leroux joined Angel City from the Orlando Pride last June and was only able to make three appearances for the Los Angeles club before a season-ending ankle injury that required surgery.

Erling Haaland, say hello to Rodolfo Cota. Kevin De Bruyne, meet Ángel Mena. Pep Guardiola, this is Joel Campbell — he's a genius just like you.

Club León captured their first-ever Concacaf Champions League crown by defeating LAFC 1-0 (3-1 on aggregate) on Sunday night at BMO Stadium, putting themselves on a collision course with Manchester City (or Inter Milan) at December's Club World Cup in Saudi Arabia.
