Christian Pulisic nearly scores for third straight Serie A game as AC Milan defeat Roma 2-1

A fantastic save denied Christian Pulisic his third goal of the season as AC Milan defeated Roma 2-1 in Serie A on Friday. The USMNT star played 75 minutes in the Italian capital in a relatively quiet night compared to his first two games.

Pulisic’s best chance of the game came in the 22nd minute. The American winger made a great run to get by his defender and get on the end of a beautiful cross from Theo Hernández.

Matt Turner adds another highlight reel save to his resume with great stop vs. Manchester United

United States men’s national team goalkeeper Matt Turner had a solid game in goal for Nottingham Forest on Saturday vs. Manchester United despite his side losing 3-2.

Turner didn’t have it easy at Old Trafford as he made seven saves during the game. The American keeper’s best moment came in the 54th minute when Antony curled a beautiful shot on goal and Turner made a full-stretch save to deny the goal.

Spain defeat England to win Women’s World Cup despite their turd of a head coach

Spain defeated England 1-0 in the Women’s World Cup final on Sunday in Sydney, Australia, and became world champions for the first time in their history.

Olga Carmona’s strike in the 29th minute proved to be the difference. The 23-year-old fullback had a perfect low effort into the bottom corner that Golden Glove winner Mary Earps couldn’t keep out.

Lionel Messi torches Walker Zimmerman to score golazo — Inter Miami win Leagues Cup in shootout

Lionel Messi did it again Saturday night with a spectacular goal vs. Nashville SC in the Leagues Cup final as Inter Miami won 10-9 on penalty kicks after drawing 1-1 after 90 minutes.

United States men’s national team fans could only watch on in horror as our beautiful defensive prince Walker Zimmerman was torn to shreds along with the rest of the Nashville defense in the 23rd minute.

Up until that point Nashville had nullified the Messi effect. The Argentine had touched the ball only a handful of times and had no impact on the game yet.

Just when you think things can’t get any worse they do in this hilariously awful goal

One of the worst goals I’ve ever seen in a professional league was scored on Saturday in the Ukrainian Premier League. A comedy of errors led to what can only be described as a cataclysmic defensive failure.

The game was between Vorskla and Veres Rivne and in the 20th minute Vorskla led 2-0. They must have felt bad for their opponents or something because it’s hard to describe what went wrong on their goal kick.

Sit back, relax and watch this train wreck sequence of soccer.

Spain advance to World Cup final with thrilling win vs. Sweden that saw three goals in last 10 minutes

AUCKLAND — Olga Carmona struck late to lift Spain to a thrilling 2-1 semifinal win over Sweden on Tuesday and send the Iberians to their first Women's World Cup final.

Teenager Salma Paralluelo, Spain's quarter-final hero against the Netherlands, produced magic off the bench again, putting her side in front in the 81st minute and breathing life into what had been a slow-burning, cagey affair.

USA’s Matt Turner makes great fingertip save during his respectable Premier League debut

Arsenal won 2-1 vs. Forest on Saturday but it was a decent first EPL game for the United States men’s national team No. 1 goalkeeper, Matt Turner.

Turner never made an appearance for Arsenal in the Premier League last season. It was only fitting that after making a $9 million transfer to Nottingham Forest his first opponent in his first EPL start was his former club.

Real Madrid in dire need of a goalkeeper after Thibaut Courtois tears ACL two days before season starts

MADRID — Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois will be sidelined for several months as he requires surgery after suffering a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his left knee during Thursday's training session, the LaLiga club said.

The 31-year-old Belgian international left the practice field in tears and an MRI scan confirmed the ACL tear two days ahead of Real's LaLiga season debut at Athletic Bilbao.

Club América fans are furious after referee makes the correct calls in Leagues Cup

Nashville SC defeated Club América 2-2 (6-5 on penalty kicks) Wednesday night in the Leagues Cup to advance to the quarterfinals. The result has become highly controversial with América/Mexico fans calling it a robbery.

The biggest talking point came in the penalty shootout when it initially looked like América goalkeeper Luis Malagón had won his side the game when he denied Jack Maher.
