It's the best account around to make you both incredibly hungry and excited for Saturday, although the reaction to MLS food usually justifiably ranges from "that looks delicious" to "why the hell are they paying $25 for chicken over there?"

The soccer landscape has seen some major changes over the past couple decades. A Millennial reflecting on their soccer days will have some entirely different stories than a kid playing soccer today.

Here are some of those similarities between what a Millennial player and what someone from Gen Z playing today might experience.

11 Personalities You’ll Find On Every Great Soccer Team

What ingredients make a team great? Is it the best players? The best coaches? The best gear and training facilities? What makes a great team work is great teamwork, plain and simple.

No one player is going to win a game, let alone a championship, not even the fancy pants who paid $600 for his designer boots. More than any other sport, soccer requires every player on the pitch work together to accomplish a goal, whether it’s scoring a golazo, keeping a clean sheet or winning a trophy.

Two Generations, One Team: Quotes From Two Of America's Best

The United States soccer team finds itself at the beginning of a bright new era.

The squad is young, hungry and ready to make its mark on the world’s stage, but the emerging generation knows it’s standing on the shoulders of those who came before them and helped establish the U.S. as a global force.

Landon Donovan — widely recognized as the best male U.S. soccer player of all time — is a legend of the American game, while Jordan Morris — winner of the Hermann Trophy (top college player) and MLS Rookie of the Year — is viewed as a difference maker for years to come.
