FIFA Men's World Cup

What countries are hosting the 2030 World Cup?

While you are just starting to feel pumped for the 2026 World Cup in the USA, México and Canada, FIFA is already planning where to host the tournament in 2030.

Yes, because it's never too soon to do it.

Despite looking far ahead on time, the truth is that organizing the event is a long process and that's why FIFA expects to award the hosting rights in its 74th Congress, scheduled for the third quarter of 2024.

The USA U-20 men's squad secured a spot in the Round of 16 at the U-20 World Cup after a 3-0 victory vs. Fiji on Tuesday. While the USA will be happy with the three points, there was some seriously poor shooting on display.

Realistically Tuesday’s USA-Fiji score line should have been 7-0 or more, however the American players couldn’t find the back of the net for the longest time.

The breakthrough took 66 minutes as a Diego Luna goal put to bed the idea of a historic Fiji draw.

It looked for certain that the game was going to finish goalless. Through 70 minutes there had only been one shot on target between the two teams, but then the USA started turning up the heat. Chance after chance wasn’t taken advantage of for the Americans as the clock ticked toward 90 minutes.

With the slogan "Juntos" (together) and the promise of a "Centenary Cup", CONMEBOL president Alejandro Dominguez called on FIFA to award the World Cup to the continent where it began.
