Wondolowski nets hat trick, plays keeper at TST after Luis Robles suffers nasty shiner

There are plenty of interesting teams to watch at The Soccer Tournament, but one of the most star-studded is certainly Team Dempsey (although USMNT legend Clint Dempsey only serves as the head coach in flip-flops).

On Thursday, they began play at the 7-on-7 tournament with a starting lineup that had Luis Robles in goal (three USMNT caps), Jermaine Jones in midfield (69 USMNT caps), Eddie Johnson out wide (63 USMNT caps) and Chris Wondolowski up top (35 USMNT caps). Jaime Lozano (34 Mexico caps) was on the bench.

Exclusive: Meet Luca Koleosho, Espanyol’s attacking phenom and undecided quadruple international

The ability to choose is often taken for granted in soccer. With the increased prominence of dual nationals in recent years, fans are becoming used to seeing players pick which nationality they want to represent, like Yunus Musah and Folarin Balogun. What’s less common, however, is a player who, before turning 19, not only qualifies for four national teams but has already represented three of them.

The USMNT steamroll New Zealand and punch their ticket to the U-20 World Cup quarterfinals

Are you getting all excited? Well, you have the right to do it.

The USMNT is cruising the U-20 World Cup and, after routing New Zealand 4-0 on Tuesday, got a spot in the tournament's quarterfinals.

USMNT goals vs New Zealand

It was a dominant performance from the US.

Owen Wolff scored a slo-mo 20-yard shot in the first shot on target for the Stars and Stripes and the team never looked back.

¡Erling, hermano ya eres mexicano! Watch Haaland drooling over his new Nike Jarritos sneakers

Record-breaking striker and Premier League champion Erling Haaland brings the random internet moment of the day after posting on Instagram about how much he loves his new sneakers: a pair of Nike SB Dunks made in collaboration with Jarritos.

Yep, that delicious and radioactive-colored Mexican soda you drink while you stuff your mouth with burritos and tortas.

Oh man, I want one now.

Come for the train, stay for the goals: Two USL Championship underdogs down MLS opposition in midweek US Open Cup fixtures

As the tail end of the nation’s oldest and most storied soccer tournament approaches, two second-division teams continue to linger. The Pittsburgh Riverhounds and Birmingham Legion both welcomed MLS opposition into their humble abodes for the US Open Cup Round of 16 and won more than just the hearts of those watching.

Luton's crumbling Kenilworth Road is one win from the Premier League

LUTON, England - Opinions of Luton Town's Kenilworth Road stadium run the gamut from charming and cosy to a ramshackle dump, but the club's former manager John Still believes it could be one of the team's most potent weapons if they reach the Premier League next season.

Luton Town need to beat Coventry City in Saturday's Championship Playoff Final at Wembley to earn promotion — and the biggest prize in the game.

3 burning Ted Lasso questions ahead of the series finale

After Tuesday night's global release of Ted Lasso S3E11 ("Mom City"), we've officially entered stoppage time in the series' arc with only one episode remaining until it's all (supposedly) over for good.

Next week's series finale brings with it a demand for closure on a number of long-running plot lines, and there's still plenty of time for more developments with these final episodes burgeoning in their runtime (episode 11 clocked in at one hour and nine minutes).

Team Ronaldinho vs. Team Roberto Carlos friendly scheduled for June in Orlando

This is the summer that dreams come true. Do you want to watch Wrexham, the club you've supported your entire life (since 2020)? The MLS All-Stars against Arsenal? Any interest in El Clásico?

AEK Athens fans celebrate Super League title with insane display of pyrotechnics

AEK Athens secured their first Super League Greece title since 2018 by beating Volos 4-0 on Sunday at OPAP Arena, and supporters celebrated beating Panathinaikos and Olympiacos to the crown by nearly burning their own stadium to the ground.

This is a scene you'd never get in MLS since "fireworks of any kind including, but not limited to, flares, smoke bombs, incendiary devices and pyrotechnics" are strictly prohibited. We're softer than Charmin over here.

The Super League, however, clearly doesn't have a Fan Code of Conduct.

Milan's dream of an unforgettable comeback against Inter is given a major injury boost

AC Milan forward Rafael Leão could be fit to face Inter Milan in their Champions League semifinal second leg, manager Stefano Pioli said on Monday, providing a major boost to his side's hopes of overturning a two-goal deficit.

Portuguese winger Leão, 23, missed the 2-0 first-leg defeat and also sat out Saturday's shock loss to Spezia in Serie A after sustaining a thigh injury in Milan's league win over Lazio earlier this month.

Leão has been one of Milan's most influential players this season and registered 13 goals and 10 assists in all competitions.
