Gareth Bale hints at a possible return with newly promoted Wrexham

Season 2 of Welcome to Wrexham is going to be absolutely insane with coverage of the club's wild FA Cup run and historic National League title, but just imagine a third season, covering Wrexham's 2023-24 League Two campaign, with a 34-year-old Gareth Bale starring after coming out of retirement.

That idea seemed entirely preposterous as recently as Monday — when you have a nickname like "The Golfer" you're likely enjoying your time off — but then Wrexham co-owner Rob McElhenney shared a video of Bale congratulating him on the promotion.

UEFA president hints about plans for a Champions League final played in the USA

Imagine if the UEFA Champions League final wasn’t played in Europe but instead in the United States of America. While the idea sounds far-fetched, UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin said on Tuesday that a plan to host UCL games in the U.S. has been discussed before.

Ceferin really peaked fans’ interest when he hinted that the final could be played in the states.

Former NYCFC forward Taty Castellanos scores FOUR against Real Madrid

It’s been a day the small mountain town in northern Catalonia will never forget. Girona FC welcomed the mighty Real Madrid to its humble home, the Estadi Montilivi, for a late-season duel. The newly promoted side has attracted attention after several entertaining performances this season, but none will stay as long in the minds and souls of fans as Tuesday's 4-1 battering of the World Champions.

Spurs’ 6-1 loss to Newcastle was so bad that players are reimbursing fans who bought tickets

Tottenham Hotspur's players will reimburse the club's supporters who paid for tickets for their 6-1 thrashing by Newcastle United at St James' Park over the weekend, the north London club said on Tuesday.

The players also apologized for their performance and said they would do everything to make a comeback as they fight for a top-four finish with six games left in the Premier League.

Ethan Horvath and Zack Steffen exchange errors in head-to-head battle of USMNT keepers

American internationals Ethan Horvath and Zack Steffen went toe-to-toe on Monday night with Horvath's Luton Town welcoming Steffen's Middlesbrough to Kenilworth Road in the EFL Championship, and let's just say that Matt Turner's standing as USMNT No.1 feels safe.

The stakes weren't especially high with Burnley and Sheffield United headed for automatic promotion to the Premier League while Luton and Middlesbrough have clinched their spots in the four-team playoffs, but the encounter was a possible preview of "the richest game in football" (the playoff final at Wembley).

LaLiga joins the growing list of rebrands gone horribly wrong

The old LaLiga logo wasn't perfect. It was guilty of what I consider a cardinal sin: containing that damn generic soccer ball that's way too heavy-handed in getting its point across.

But LaLiga had established a powerful brand identity with its iconic color wheel over the past 30 years, and when news broke of an all-new LaLiga logo for the 2023-24 season, the initial thought was concerning how the league would reimagine and update the famous design while retaining some sense of history.

Man United reach FA Cup final after nail-biting shootout victory over Brighton

LONDON, England - Manchester United beat Brighton & Hove Albion in a thrilling penalty shootout after their FA Cup semifinal at Wembley on Sunday finished 0-0 after extra time to set up the first all-Manchester clash in the final.

Solly March, Brighton's seventh player to step up to the spot in the shootout, launched the ball over the bar, before Victor Lindelöf found the net to secure a 7-6 shootout victory for United.

Arsenal rally from 2-goal deficit in Women's Champions League semifinal

WOLFSBURG, Germany - Two-time European champions VfL Wolfsburg let a two-goal lead slip against Arsenal as the visitors fought back to earn a 2-2 draw in Sunday's Women's Champions League semifinal first leg.

Ewa Pajor and Sveindís Jane Jónsdóttir gave the home side a 2-0 lead inside the first half hour but Arsenal reduced the deficit through Rafaelle Souza on the stroke of halftime before Stina Blackstenius leveled in the second period.
