Preseason friendlies are well and truly underway, and certainly, at face value, the contest between Manchester United and Liverpool stuck out among the best of the summer.

The two Premier League sides traveled to the Rajamangala National Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, where United and Liverpool debuted their new home and away jerseys, respectively. While it may seem like just another pointless preseason game, the importance of getting off to a strong start and establishing a clear style of play cannot be understated, especially for Manchester United.

Video has emerged from Tottenham’s preseason training session in South Korea of players struggling massively with Antonio Conte’s fitness regiment. 

Spurs arrived in Seoul ahead of their pair of preseason games and hosted an open training session in front of 6,000 fans. What these spectators witnessed was surprising, to say the least.

Ten years after Paul Pogba left Manchester United to sign with Italian side Juventus on a free transfer, history repeated itself on Monday as the France midfielder bid farewell to the Premier League and returned to the Serie A club.

Pogba, who left United when his contract expired last month, has signed a four-year contract with Juventus that will tie the 29-year-old down with the Turin club until June 2026.

With France widely expected to take top spot in Group D at Euro 2022, Iceland and Belgium squared off Sunday at Manchester City's Academy Stadium knowing that three points would prove invaluable in reaching the knockout stage. 

But there was very little between 17th-ranked Iceland and 19th-ranked Belgium over the course of 90 minutes, and although both teams could've won it, a 1-1 result (which will be celebrated by Italy) ultimately seemed fair after Berglind Thorvaldsdóttir's 50th-minute header was canceled out by Justine Vanhaevermaet's 67th-minute penalty.
