Premier League players, managers and match officials will wear black armbands for the next round of matches as a mark of respect for those affected by the Israel-Hamas conflict, the English top-flight league said on Friday.

"We hope for peace, and our heartfelt sympathies are with the victims, their families and the communities impacted," the league said.

Tyler Adams will need another surgery and be out for rest of 2023

United States men’s national team captain and Bournemouth defensive midfielder Tyler Adams is expected to be out until February 2024 with a hamstring issue.

Adams already missed six months of action this year after suffering a hamstring injury that required surgery in March.

The 24-year-old made one appearance for his new club Bournemouth in September before reaggravating his hamstring issue.

Belgium raised its terror alert to the highest level as a man in a video on social media claimed that he was the assailant and that he was from Islamic State.

Christian Pulisic scored a spectacular goal vs. Germany on Saturday as the United States men’s national team drew Germany 1-1 in the first half. 

The USMNT showed the world that they’re the real deal for 45 minutes and then immediately disproved that in the second half losing the game 3-1.

A long-distance Ukraine goal vs North Macedonia helped secure an important 2-0 victory on Saturday and moved the team one step closer to Euro 2024 qualification.

The second goal for Ukraine came in the 95th minute when Oleksandr Karavayev caught North Macedonia’s goalkeeper WAY out of position.

After replacing Chelsea’s Mykhailo Mudryk in the 88th minute, Karavayev scored a goal from over 35 yards out. While the goalkeeper definitely failed here, you have to give some credit for the strike.

 If the United States hope to make an impact at the 2026 World Cup they must play more top teams like Germany, who they face in a friendly on Saturday, head coach Gregg Berhalter has said.

The match in East Hartford, Connecticut against the four-time world champions will be a litmus test of sorts for the U.S. and Berhalter is making sure his players are not intimidated.

His second goal was an absurd strike from outside the box that Dutch goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen had no chance saving.

Morocco women’s team hire disgraced ex-Spain head coach Jorge Vilda

Women's World Cup winner and former Spain coach Jorge Vilda was appointed as the new manager of the Morocco women's team on Thursday, succeeding Frenchman Reynald Pedros.

Vilda, who won the Women's World Cup with Spain in August, was sacked 10 days after FIFA suspended former Spanish FA (RFEF) president Luis Rubiales for giving a non-consensual kiss to striker Jenni Hermoso during the medal ceremony in Sydney.
