Poland striker Robert Lewandowski is set to join Barcelona after Bayern Munich reached a verbal agreement with the LaLiga side on a transfer, the Bundesliga champions said on Saturday.

The 33-year-old has 12 months remaining on his Bayern contract and multiple media reports had said he was expected to sign a three-year deal with the 26-time Spanish champions.

Center midfielder Malik Tillman shocked the soccer world in May when the Bayern Munich youngster announced he was switching his nationality to play for the United States instead of Germany. Now on a quest for more playing time, Tillman is heading to Scotland on a loan deal with Rangers.

Manchester United signed Christian Eriksen on a free transfer with the Danish playmaker signing a three-year deal, the Premier League club announced on Friday.

Eriksen, who needed life-saving treatment on the pitch last year when he suffered a near-fatal cardiac arrest in a European Championship match against Finland in June, returned to action with Brentford after signing a short-term deal in January.

Leeds United continued its preseason tour this week with a trip down under to face the Brisbane Roar. Former Red Bull Salzburg midfielder Brenden Aaronson was named as a starter and almost kicked off his debut in spectacular fashion.
