Going into week 6 of the 2015 NCAA Men’s Division 1 soccer season there was one thing clearer than all the rest: parity, even among the best teams in the nation, is at an all time high.

13 Female Soccer Players Dropped From FIFA 16 Because Of The NCAA

According to the Associated Press, 13 soccer players who took part in this summer's Women's World Cup have been dropped from the FIFA 16 video game because of concerns from the NCAA.

This is the first year FIFA 16 has featured women's teams, with 12 women's national teams from the World Cup included in the game..

The dropped players hail from three coutries: six from Mexico, six from Canada and six from Spain.

Loyola, DePaul, Draw 0-0 After Overtime

Thursday night in Chicago, with storms and lightning swirling over the city — reflecting the tenor of the match — the Loyola Ramblers defended their home pitch against  number 21/20 in the country, DePaul.  The match was intense from the first to last whistle – feeling every bit the cross-town rivalry.

A University Of South Carolina Player Scored An Incredible Volley

The college soccer season is just beginning, but South Carolina's Jeffrey Torda is off to a great start.

Torda scored a sublime scissor-kick goal to put South Carolina up 3-2 on Georgia Southern (they would go on to win 4-0).

The play was the number two selection on SportsCenter's Top 10 Plays, and for good reason. What a rip.

Collegiate soccer programs began to truly emerge sometime in the 1980s. For women, the passage of Title IX opened up opportunities for female athletes that were only available to men playing football (the oblong type) and basketball. Men’s soccer programs have been around significantly longer (the first NCAA championship was played in 1959), but consistently take a backseat to padded football and madness of basketball.
