Serie B manager almost ends himself by celebrating win with a bicycle kick

With only nine matches remaining in the season, the battle to avoid relegation to Italy's third division is getting awfully serious in Serie B. The roll call of clubs teetering on the brink is pretty astonishing and includes recent Serie A competitors Venezia, Benevento, SPAL and Brescia.

Heading into Sunday, Cosenza sat dead last in 20th-place but hosted SPAL in a classic relegation six-pointer at Marulla Stadium. Cosenza desperately needed three points ahead of next weekend's trip to league leading Frosinone.

Walker Zimmerman sings Johnny Cash’s ‘Ring of Fire’ on corner flag after scoring first goal of 2023 season

Nashville SC kicked off the 2023 Major League Soccer season on Saturday in front of a packed GEODIS Park in Nashville, Tennessee, with a 2-0 victory vs. NYCFC. One of the biggest topics of discussion was the kits Nashville wore.

For the first time ever, Nashville wore black at home as the team showed off their stunning “The Man in Black Kit” which is a tribute to the great Johnny Cash. The thousands inside the stadium blacked out the stadium.

Part of the nod to Johnny Cash included having his son, John Carter Cash, open the season with some guitar. Epic.

Puzzling scenes as VAR overrules goal line technology to disallow Fiorentina goal

A bizarre Fiorentina disallowed goal vs. Braga confused just about everyone on Thursday when a VAR decision overruled goal line technology.

The introduction of technology to soccer has come with its problems, but most fans can agree the sport is in a better place now. Long past are the days of “no era penal” and Frank Lampard’s ghost goal vs. Germany. Goal line technology and VAR has seen to it that mistakes like those are incredibly rare nowadays.

Karim Adeyemi going coast-to-coast on Chelsea and celebrating with a backflip was too mean

Karim Adeyemi has been playing his best football at Borussia Dortmund since returning from the World Cup with Germany, and against Chelsea at Signal Iduna Park in Wednesday night's Champions League Round of 16 first leg the 21-year-old truly announced himself with a match-winning solo goal.

The game was very reminiscent of Diego Maradona vs. England in the 1986 World Cup quarterfinals.

First, Thiago Silva tried to do his best "Hand of God" impression. The center back had the ball in the back of the net but the ref spotted the infringement and booked the Brazilian. Booo.

Carlos Salcedo celebrates Juárez goal by drinking and throwing fan’s beer into stands

Carlos Salcedo is regarded as one of Mexico’s most charismatically controversial players and he just keeps giving examples as to why that is.

In Saturday’s Liga MX game between FC Juárez and Santos Laguna, the Bravos managed to pull off the upset and score three goals past some Laguneros that were too weak to withhold the stallions at full force. They are now sixth in the league.

VAR magic – Ángel Correa becomes the first player in history to celebrate a goal after being subbed off

VAR just gave us one of the most wholesome and unusual moments of the season so far. Yes, VAR has done something good.

Correa's disallowed goal gets overturned after being substituted

In Saturday’s LaLiga match between Atlético Madrid and Getafe, Ángel Correa became the first player to celebrate a goal after being substituted. How so?

In the 60th minute, Correa scored a beautiful volley to put the Colchoneros ahead 1-0 only for the goal to be disallowed almost immediately for an offside position.

Messi regrets Netherlands celebration, says Mexico was 'most difficult' opponent

It's been over six weeks since Lionel Messi lifted the World Cup trophy and Argentina celebrated their long-awaited third star. Messi has since returned to playing for the traveling circus that is PSG, but the 35-year-old's thoughts won't stray far from that month-long odyssey in Qatar and the fulfillment of a life's dream for some time to come.

On Monday, a 45-minute interview in Paris between Messi and Argentine journalist Any Kusnetzoff for Urbana Play provided all the details from the triumph, fresh in the Golden Ball winner's mind.

Incredible scenes as 37,000 women and children cheer on club in Brazil after men were banned

If you’re looking to find some videos that will give you goosebumps, then you’ve come to the right place. Videos of Athletico Paranaense fans have gone viral and for a special reason.

The Brazilian club is currently serving a ban on fans due to fights breaking out in the stadium. There was one loophole with the ban: only men were barred from attending the games.

Women and children were allowed to watch the team and so what the club did was make the entry fee for games one kilogram of non-perishable food. The turnout was spectacular.

Nottingham Forest-Wolves League Cup shootout was full of mockery and shithousery

Nottingham Forest and Wolverhampton’s League Cup quarterfinal, in terms of entertainment, exceeded expectations Wednesday night.

The match was a classic game of English soccer: cold and rainy but with a great atmosphere nonetheless. Wolves (with the goalscoring return of Raúl Jiménez) and Forest both managed to get on the scoreboard, but the game stood level at 1-1 after extra time so a winner had to be determined from the spot.
