Gio Reyna scores his eighth career Bundesliga goal with one of the iciest penalty kicks

Giovanni Reyna was given an early birthday present on Saturday when he was handed the ball to take a penalty for Borussia Dortmund during the team’s 3-0 victory vs. Bochum.

Reyna isn’t Dortmund’s usual penalty taker, but the American teenager — who turns 20 on Nov. 3 — confidently stepped up and scored from the spot in the 12th minute to give his side a 2-0 lead.

The goal was his eighth Bundesliga goal and his 12th in all competitions for Dortmund.

Prior to the penalty Donyell Malen was tackled in the box after a clever spin.

Crysensio Summerville's late winner gives Leeds 4-3 comeback win over Bournemouth

Saturday’s stunning early action between Leeds and Bournemouth at Elland Road saw the home crowd’s halftime boos turn to bliss in the second half as Jesse Marsch’s side snatched a 4-3 win from the jaws of defeat.

Philadelphia Union and USYNT midfielder Paxten Aaronson set to join Eintracht Frankfurt in Bundesliga

Philadelphia Union’s homegrown talent Paxten Aaronson will have one game left with the club, the MLS Cup Final, before he heads to Europe to join Eintracht Frankfurt in January.

The 19-year-old attacking midfielder will join the Bundesliga club on a deal reportedly worth around $4 million. MLSSoccer.com’s Tom Bogert was the first to break the news.

USMNT goalkeeper power rankings: Steffen's mistakes continue to compound

In three weeks, the USMNT begins its World Cup campaign in Qatar. Much is still to be decided for the final roster — especially at the goalkeeper position.

During the September international break (with Zack Steffen omitted as a precautionary measure as he recovered from injury), Matt Turner started against Japan and Saudi Arabia. Turner had a strong showing against Japan, and was arguably the top American performer that day, before having little to do in a dull match versus the Saudis in Spain.

Luca de la Torre could miss World Cup with hamstring injury — what will this mean for USMNT midfield?

United States men’s national team and Celta Vigo midfielder Luca de la Torre is expected to miss the next three weeks of action after suffering a muscle injury in his left leg. His club announced the news on Friday.

Christian Pulisic screams an F-bomb after a horrific missed shot vs. Brighton

Brighton recorded its first-ever Premier League victory against Chelsea with a 4-1 win at the Amex on Saturday. A shocking Christian Pulisic miss vs Brighton was one of the lowlights for the Blues in the defeat.

Pulisic got his second start in-a-row on Saturday. He recorded a great assist to Kai Havertz on Tuesday in Champions League action vs. RB Salzburg but had a forgettable performance against Brighton.

American keeper Josh Cohen experiences 90 minutes of hell against PSG

Maccabi Haifa's 30-year-old American goalkeeper Josh Cohen was the toast of Europe on Oct. 11 when making five saves en route to a clean sheet during his side's incredible upset of Juventus in the Champions League.

His mission Tuesday? Do it again, but this time against Lionel Messi, Neymar, Kylian Mbappé and PSG at the Parc des Princes in Paris.

This time Cohen faced five shots in the first-half alone and could only watch in agony as four of them found the back of the net.

Cohen couldn't do anything about Messi's opener in the 19th minute.

Pulisic returns to Chelsea XI and plays big role in reaching UCL round of 16

Chelsea travelled to Red Bull Arena and beat Salzburg 2-1 Tuesday night to clinch passage to the Champions League Round of 16 for the fourth straight year.

Christian Pulisic, making his first start since scoring against Wolves on Oct. 8, played a role in both goals, although they were spectacularly finished by Mateo Kovačić and Kai Havertz.

Jesse Marsch leads the EPL ‘sack race’ — can he save his job against Liverpool?

When the final whistle sounds Saturday evening at Anfield following Leeds United's trip to Liverpool, there's a very real chance that Jesse Marsch could be out of a job if the Whites lose. Defeat would confirm a place in the relegation zone with over 30 percent of the Premier League season finished, and bottom three managers are typically dismissed around this period if they don't have the history of leading their club up from the Championship.

Leeds fans chant ‘you're getting sacked in the morning’ at Jesse Marsch after latest home defeat

LEEDS - Leeds United sank to a 3-2 defeat at home to Fulham in the Premier League on Sunday, leaving them in the relegation zone and heaping more pressure on coach Jesse Marsch.
