After a 1-1 draw in El Super Clasico on Saturday, Chivas can be happy they earned a point against the second-placed team in Liga MX, and also happy that they knocked hated rivals Club America firmly behind Santos Laguna in the table.
Santos took care of business against Necaxa with a 2-1 victory, while the draw means the still-undefeated Club America are playing catch-up.
Club America are now tied on points with Toluca and Tigres, but ahead on goal differential.
It's weird that the second-placed team in Liga MX is undefeated, but it's also weird that the second-placed team in Liga MX has won only half its games. Liga MX is a weird league.
