Paper Airplane Thrown From Upper Deck In Wembley Hits Peru Defender (Must Watch)

This once in a lifetime throw has to be seen to be believed
June 3, 2014

Fans commonly throw things onto the pitch. Streamers, confetti, toilet paper and so on. Last month, The18 covered one of the more infamous throwing incidents when a fan tossed a banana at Dani Alves, setting off international outrage about racism in soccer.

Luckily, today, we have a more light-hearted throwing incident to share. In what was largely an uneventful 3-0 victory for England in a World Cup 2014 warmup versus Peru, fans took it upon themseleves to create some additional entertainment. A fan from the upper deck of Wembley Stadium launched a beautifully made paper airplane that found its way to the head of Peru defender Hansell Riojas. The one-in-a-million throw can be seen below. Enjoy!
