It took more time than a normal game, but the Washington Spirit finished off the Chicago Red Stars in the 111th minute and earned a berth in the 2016 NWSL final.
Ali Krieger opened the scoring in the 36th minute.
Then, in the 81st minute, Christen Press decided the game wasn't quite over yet.
And so we went to overtime. And then we went to the second overtime
Credit to the Spirit for not folding after the equalizer, because Francisca Ordega scored the winner in the 111th minute.
What a game.
