The MLS Released A Weird Video About Nigel De Jong Then Immediately Took It Down

Following Nigel de Jong's transfer from LA Galaxy to Galatasaray, the official MLS Twitter account posted a video about de Jong's time in MLS, which was taken down.

The LA Galaxy have mercifully gotten rid of Nigel de Jong, shipping the Dutch midfielder to Turkish club Galatasaray at the transfer deadline.

This is undeniably a good thing for MLS, as de Jong is a colossal dickbag and one of the dirtiest players in the world. We were surprised, though, to see that the MLS seemed to publicly agree with this opinion, releasing a video on Twitter that highlighted de Jong's lack of goals and assists (Yes we know he's a defensive midfielder and wasn't expected to contribute goals and assists. Shut up.) and his favorable disposition toward late tackles.

The video was deleted, sadly.

The MLS should have known, though, that on the Internet you can never make anything disappear completely. Here's the video, courtesy of Reddit.

MLS TRANSFER DRAMA ALERT: there's now way more drama than the original transfer stirred up because the MLS's TRANSFER DRAMA ALERT stirred up a drama-storm that made the MLS look very foolish.

Even less happy than the MLS about how this played out (we think) is the person running the LA Galaxy's Twitter account, who would very much like everyone to know that the Galaxy had nothing to do with the video, and also please stop @-ing them about it.

Clap back, we gon' clap back

We gon' clap back, we gon' clap back

This might be even more fun than Moussa Sissoko's turned-off cell phone.
