As if I needed another reminder of why I was never going to make it as a professional footballer, US Youth Soccer has just released the best youth soccer goals of 2015. It features 8-year-olds dribbling past entire teams in ways I never could, and 15 year-olds slotting long shots as effortlessly as I would play a wall pass. Watching it is a humbling experience.

My vote goes towards the last goal. Seeing a U14 rip a shot into the top corner like that from what looks like 35 yards out, and in the 71st minute no less, is beyond impressive.

Now that I’ve seen the best youth soccer goals of 2015, I can’t wait for the 2016 edition. Is a bicycle kick too much to ask for?
