While Barcelona will return to classic thin Blaugrana stripes on its home shirt this season, the club’s away jerseys and rumored third kits are much more bold.
The away is confirmed, and it’s “volt” (a sort of light green/yellow) with a bit of blue and red on the cuffs. However, it’s the third shirt that’s got tongues wagging across the planet.
Back in early August, we saw the first leaks of Barcelona’s third kit from Nike. We now have the latest leaks, and they’re much improved. The kit is striking for two reasons: First and foremost, it’s peach or light pink with a thin sash running across the front. Second, just like all the other third kits from Nike this season, it features a graphic print of a part of the city — in Barcelona’s case Eixample, the district between the old city and what were once surrounding small towns (the urban sprawl has long since conjoined the two).
