The eighth episode of The Players’ Tribune series “Bad as a Mother” starring USWNT forward Sydney Leroux and her husband Dom Dwyer dropped on Dec. 31, and it was a captivating finale with the proud parents bringing home newborn daughter Roux. (This actually happened on June 28, 2019.)
On the whole, the series is excellent. Leroux talks candidly about how society essentially views motherhood as the end of a woman’s professional existence and how she wants to overcome that stigma by returning to the national team; Dom is entertaining as he balances his Orlando City duties with fatherhood; two-year-old Cassius is adorable and the future of the USMNT.
It’s a fantastically produced and executed show that flies by (the episodes range between seven and 13 minutes) and gives you an excellent look inside the everyday lives of two highly scrutinized individuals. Go ahead and catch up here.
