Former Manchester City star Fernandinho had a humorous moment with the center referee during Athletico Paranaense’s 1-0 victory Wednesday night.
During the semifinal win the referee accidentally intercepted a pass from the Brazilian stopping the play and his side's attack. The blooper only got better with Fernandinho’s reaction to the referee’s error.

The referee attempted to hurdle the ball but hardly got enough elevation. While Fernandinho was visibly frustrated, his side still managed to advance to the Campeonato Paranaense final with a 3-1 aggregate victory.
Fernandinho has been with Athletico Paranaense for two years now since his departure from Manchester City at the end of the 2021-22 season. He played with the Brazilian club at the beginning of his career from 2002 through 2005.
He’s found success at his boyhood club winning the Campeonato Paranaense last year marking just the second time in club history and first since 2005.
They will have a chance to lift the title yet again in the final with the first leg on March 30.
