The 2023 Women’s World Cup in Australia/New Zealand is right around the corner kicking off on July 20. The United States women’s national team’s opener vs. Vietnam is on Friday, July 21 at 10 p.m. ET.
FOX will be broadcasting the tournament and released a one minute and 25 second ad on Friday that features several USWNT players and their biggest opponents trying to stop them.
The humorous video shows fans from other top countries at the World Cup like England, Brazil, Germany and more devising comedic plans to end the U.S. Women's dominant run in the World Cup.
Alex Morgan, Naomi Girma, Megan Rapinoe, Rose Lavelle and Crystal Dunn are the USWNT players who make cameos. There’s also a guest appearance from a retired USWNT legend. (Technically two when you include FOX analyst Aly Wagner.)

The USWNT are looking to do what no other country, men or women’s, has ever done and win the World Cup for a third-straight time. With triumphs in 2015 and 2019, this year’s tournament could be the most difficult yet.
Let’s just keep our fingers crossed that the USA come out on top because you know for a fact that this commercial will get UNO reverse carded on us if we lose.
If you’re feeling the World Cup fever symptoms coming on, then head to soccer.com who re-released their Nike USWNT kits on Friday. In a partnership with the USWNT players, the customization of the names and numbers on the back is free for a limited time.
