Managers shaking hands has been a hot topic in the Premier League this week after Chelsea’s Thomas Tuchel and Tottenham’s Antonio Conte got into a heated cat fight on Sunday. One week later, a potential Jesse Marsch Tuchel handshake is making headlines after a quote from the American manager.
Tuchel was given a red card after his spat with Conte and thus shouldn’t be present for Chelsea’s game vs. Leeds United on Sunday. When a reporter asked Marsch about shaking hands with Tuchel, the Wisconsin native said he had no plans on doing so because Tuchel shouldn’t even be at the game.

Leeds United boss Jesse Marsch on Thomas Tuchel:
"I will be disappointed if they allow him to be on the bench. There is a simple rule in football. Whether it's soccer or football, if you get a red card you can't play the next match."— Absolute Chelsea (@AbsoluteChelsea) August 19, 2022
Shortly after Marsch's interview, the FA announced Tuchel was fined around $41,000 and serve a one game ban from the sideline. The ban has been temporarily suspended as the investigation continues, meaning Tuchel will most likely be pitch-side for the Leeds game.

Interestingly enough Conte didn’t get a one game ban for his part he played in the Stamford Bridge ruckus.

Chelsea fans were quick to mock Marsch, claiming that the Leeds manager feared Tuchel.

As an American website, we’re legally required to defend Marsch and just want to remind the Blues fans who exactly they’re talking about.
