Wishing the happiest of birthdays to the living legend David Beckham, former midfielder for Manchester United, Real Madrid, Preston North End, AC Milan, LA Galaxy, Paris Saint-Germain and, of course, the English national team. Badder than badass Beckham killed the game over his 20-year, god-like career.
He has accomplished much, not only on all of the great soccer fields of the world, but off of them as well. Through his career, Beckham appeared in 265 Premier League games for United and made 81 Champions League appearances. He scored a total of 76 goals and won a jaw-dropping six Premier League titles, two FA Cups, one European Cup, one Intercontinental Cup and one FA Youth Cup over a head-spinning span of 12 years.
Off of the field, he has proven to be more than a one-dimensional athlete, contributing his time and money to multiple charities and non-profit organizations. He has been the active UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador since 2005 and has pledged his support for the Unite for Children and the Unite Against AIDS foundations. He has also helped with the Elton John AIDS Foundation, which is no surprise due to his close personal relationship with Sir Elton, so close that Elton John was named as godfather to Beckham's children Brooklyn and Romeo.
In 2003 Beckham received the distinctive honor and title of Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) from none other than Queen Elizabeth II, bestowed to him as a symbol of gratitude to an individual for acting in a major local role within the community. Outside of his charitable activities, he is known as quite the fashion icon and was ranked as the “Sexiest Man Alive” by People Magazine in 2015.
His family life includes his wife, the popular Victoria Beckham, otherwise known as Posh from the Spice Girls, and their four children Brooklyn (19 years old), Romeo (15), Cruz (13), and Harper (6). The six of them are a close-knit family, which according to Victoria is due to "how much fun they have together." With all of his astounding achievements from his athletic career to his loving family, we're pretty sure David Beckham will have a wonderful 43rd birthday!
