Alex Morgan Announces Birth Of Super Moon Baby

Alex Morgan’s baby has finally graced us with her presence.

The USWNT superstar announced on Saturday that Charlie Elena Carrasco was born at 11:30 a.m. on May 7, 2020, weighing in at 8 pounds, 5 ounces.

  • Name: Charlie Elena Carrasco
  • Birthdate: May 7, 2020
  • Weight: 8 pounds, 5 ounces

Charlie Elena, born to Alex Morgan and former LA Galaxy midfielder Servando Carrasco, was expected to arrive in April, per their October baby announcement. We watched as both Morgan’s baby bump and her pregnancy journey grew, but come May 1 the baby had yet to arrive

Morgan spoke with Good Morning America on May 4 in regard to the USWNT’s equal pay lawsuit against the U.S. Soccer Federation, saying she was still waiting for her “stubborn girl” to be ready for this world.

That day finally came on Thursday, the day of a full flower moon, the last super moon of 2020. The Morgan-Carrasco family announced her to the world on Saturday.

Servando Carrasco also posted a photo of baby Alex on Saturday, adding his complements to the momma, perhaps hinting at a challenging pregnancy, though we’d hate to speculate.

“Charlie Elena Carrasco, we love you so much baby girl,” Carrasco wrote. “Alex you’re such a warrior. 5/7/20 — best day of my life.”

Congratulations to the family. We hope Charlie teams up with Hope Solo’s recently born Lozen Orianna Judith Stevens to win the Women's World Cup in the decades to come.
