Fans of Scottish club Aberdeen landed themselves in trouble Thursday night after they kept throwing snowballs at HJK’s goalkeeper during a Europa Conference League game.
The game was played in Helsinki, Finland, and it was a brutally cold contest with the snow coming down and temperatures in the low 20s.
Aberdeen fans weren’t on their best behavior and with their team trailing 2-1 in the second half, they decided to entertain themselves with some target practice.

HJK Helsinki-Aberdeen briefly stopped because some Aberdeen fans behind the goal are throwing snowballs at the HJK goalkeeper.

There was a warning that the game could be abandoned if the snowball throwing continued, but thankfully that outcome was avoided.
While the snowballs aren’t anything to be proud of, some credit must go to the Aberdeen faithful who traveled nearly 1,000 miles to watch their team play. Both clubs involved in Thursday’s snowy affair were already mathematically eliminated.
They made their voices heard and their throwing arms seen as the game finished in a 2-2 draw.
