NWSL player Carson Pickett plays for the Orlando Pride and shows her pride each and every game both on and off the field. She does not only stand out for her play, but she was a born with a birth defect, which caused her to not have a left forearm and hand.
Despite her minor difference she did not let it hold her back from chasing her dreams and allowing others with similar qualities to be proud of who they are and to follow their dreams.
Back in July a photo of her and two-year old, Joseph, who shares a similar birth defect went viral. The image is single handedly one of the most memorable of 2019.

Carson and Joseph are now best buds and Joseph is a die hard Orlando Pride fan.
Even at such a young age, he understands the connection he has with Pickett and this recent video by FIFA shows we need more people like Carson Pickett. And although this happened a few months ago, it is still being shared around the social media universe to remind everyone to be kind to anyone and everyone despite their unique looks.
