Back in September, a video surfaced of Diego Maradona allegedly getting into a tussle outside a club in Croatia. Nothing ended up coming of the incident, but it was an example of Maradona doing questionable things that land him in the news. He also made news when he hit a reporter in Buenos Aires. Well, he’s back at it today, if a recently released video is authentic.
Below is a video taken by Rocio Oliva, Maradona’s now ex-girlfriend, being hit by the Argentine footballing great. The two have been on and off for some time, but it seems that the two are now officially off. Back in July, Oliva was arrested after Maradona said she stole hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of jewelry from his Dubai mansion. Back then, Oliva denied that she did such a thing, and said that Maradona set her up - and, she added, that she had been a victim of domestic violence. Oliva claimed back then that she had video footage of Maradona hitting her, but their relationship was patched up shortly after that statement.
In the video below, Maradona tells Oliva multiple times to “leave her phone,” and “stop looking at your phone.” He then hits Oliva with her saying “stop, stop, loco (crazy), stop Diego!” repeatedly. Ouch.
