Manchester United had, perhaps, the most impressive opening weekend of any Premier League club, routing Chelsea 4-0. Since then, it’s been one frustration after another.
The Red Devils were held to a draw on Monday after Paul Pogba missed a penalty kick. On Saturday, United again missed a penalty and David De Gea made another baffling mistake as Crystal Palace beat Manchester United in the top flight for the first time since 1991.
Moments after Daniel James equalized late with a brilliant goal, Patrick van Aanholt fired home a 93rd-minute winner past De Gea for a 2-1 victory as United suffered its first home loss of the season.

Plenty of controversy surrounded the referee throughout the match, including a penalty shout when Anthony Martial was fouled going into the box, which probably should have been a penalty.
United eventually was awarded a penalty when Scott McTominay was tripped in the box and Pogba wasn’t allowed near the spot. Instead, Marcus Rashford was handed the ball, but he struck his shot off the left post and out.
Unfortunate for Manchester United.

It was looking like another frustrating day for United until James, the new 21-year-old winger, scored this lovely goal, which looked like it would save a point for the home side.

But van Aanholt and Palace had other ideas.
Moments after the equalizer, Wilfried Zaha stormed down the pitch before being dispossessed in the box, allowing van Aanholt to pounce for a late winner, which de Gea probably should have done better on.

More frustration for Ole Gunnar Solsjkær’s men, but joy for Crystal Palace supporters.
