Even though the EFL Championship is not easy to find on American television spare ESPN+, soccer fans will have at least heard about Norwich City, Leeds United and Sheffield United’s push for the top two promotion spots. Usually, the teams and players at the top of the Championship get a lot of the rare press and rightly so, but there is one hidden gem not in the top six in England’s second division that could soon light up the Premier League: Jarrod Bowen.
Jarrod Bowen is a talented, left-footed winger for Hull City and plays on the right-hand side of a front three or midfield five. He loves to run at defenders, assist and score goals.
In fact, Bowen has scored a whopping 16 goals since December began.
When the goal is good... But the assist is EVEN better!

Bowen has scored 21 goals in the Championship this season, the sixth highest goal scorer in the league. However, if he scores two more goals, Bowen could potentially rival Teemu Pukki for the Golden Boot. What’s impressive is all the players above Bowen in the scoring charts are forwards while the 22-year-old is a winger.
In addition to his scoring exploits, Bowen has been named to the EFL Team of the Season.

Bowen’s talent hasn’t gone unnoticed elsewhere either, as Premier League clubs have regularly sent scouts to Hull to watch the young Englishman.
Tottenham Hotspur looks poised to make a bid for Bowen in the summer, with Mauricio Pochettino’s scouts raving about him to the club’s hierarchy.

Hull City does have a chance of making the Championship playoff rounds, but it isn’t guaranteed. If Hull fails to qualify then it will likely have to say goodbye to its talisman this summer.
Spurs will need some attacking reinforcements and a player like Bowen, who is touted to be the ‘next Mohamed Salah,’ could be a bargain buy.
