It has been a week and we miss Champions League very much. Thankfully, the second leg of the quarterfinals kicked off today with Real Madrid hosting Wolfsburg and PSG traveling to Manchester. With Real Madrid down, 2 - 0 to Wolfsburg, it was time for Cristiano Ronaldo. The superstar scored two goals in two minutes and completed his hat trick in the 77th minute to give Real Madrid the 3 - 2 lead on aggregate. Ronaldo scored in the 15th and 17th minutes in a stunning turn of events. Just like that, Madrid was tied with Wolfsburg and had all the momentum. With the hat trick, Ronaldo has 16 goals in his past 10 matches and Los Blancos are on to the semi finals.
PSG and Manchester City were tied at 2 on aggregate with City leading the away goal tie breaker. Kevin de Bruyne scored in the 76th minute from outside the box, curling it around PSG keeper, Kevin Trapp. His goal would prove to be the game winner as Manchester City are moving on to the semi finals.
Barcelona and Atletico Madrid clash in their second leg tomorrow, as well as Bayern Munich and Benfica. Barcelona lead 2 - 1, while Bayern lead 1 - 0. Once those matches have completed, the draw is Friday, April 15th for the final four spots.
