Week 6 of the English Premier League had many surprising performances, last second heroics and plenty of goals. Chelsea continued their dominance, looking and playing like the strongest team in the league while Liverpool lost a chance to earn a much needed three points at Anfield. The Blues are atop the table with 16 points with Southampton (13), Manchester City (11) and Arsenal (10) respectively following Mourinho’s bunch.
This week’s group of goals are true beauties and all have the potential to take the number one spot. But, as you all know, there can only be one winner in America. Here we go:
#5: Yes it is in the U-21 circuit, but Manchester United midfielder Adnan Januzaj’s scores this lovely free kick from an impossible angle against Tottenham.
#4: Steven Gerrard proves to the doubters that he is still one of the best free kick takers with this swooping right-footed shot past Tim Howard.
#3: Phil Jagielka shows he has ice in his viens with this snipe from distance to tie Liverpool in the 91st minute.
#2: Charlie Austin’s ballerina-esque goal shows control and an unreal amount of skill as he scores an equalizer for QPR against Southampton.
#1: Graziano Pelle serves himself to Number One with this filthy bicycle kick to give Southampton what was the game winning goal.
