Every manager wants a defender like Jeffrey Bruma, in terms of willingness to be hit in the face by a speeding object.
Bruma showcased this quality in PSV's 0-0 tie with Atletico Madrid in the Champions League Wednesday when he took a rocket of a volley right to the face inside his own 18.
Not In The Face: Jeffrey Bruma Edition
Ouch! Brave defending by PSV's Jeffrey Bruma, who takes Angel Correa's shot straight to the face! #UCLonFOX https://t.co/Cg24Cx8dri

Oof. That looked like it might have gone in had Bruma's face not been there to stop the shot.
Seriously, though, Bruma looked like he might have been knocked out for a few seconds there. He played the rest of the game, but perhaps he shouldn't have. Head injuries are no joke, and that shot looked like it was hard enough to remove Bruma's head from his body
We would have liked to see Bruma evaluated more thoroughly there before he's let back onto the pitch. If you're hit with a ball so hard in the face you collapse, it should take more than "I'm fine, just got my bell rung is all" to get back on the field.
