Cristiano Ronaldo is stepping up his property game. Last week, Ronaldo unveiled his $80 million range of CR7 branded hotels that will open in Funchal, Lisbon, Madrid and New York. This week, he’s granted us access to his mansion in Madrid with a self-guided tour through Unscriptd.com.
The 30-year-old’s 8,600-square-foot Madrid mansion includes eight bedrooms, a swimming pool, a dining table surrounded by photos of himself and a mini-football pitch for Cristiano Junior.
The video gives us a brief glimpse into the largely veiled personal life of one of the world’s best players. Highlights include a voyage into Ronaldo’s bedroom, dining room, living area and backyard.
Ronaldo’s bedroom is described as the most important room in the house, wherein Ronaldo spends “nearly half a day.” Fascinating stuff. To be the best, you've got to focus on the three Rs: rest, relaxation and being Ronnie.
Strangely, there aren’t any pets bounding around the premises, only a dalmatian statue which Ronaldo praises for its tranquility. So the age-old question of whether Ronnie is a dog or a cat person remains unanswered.
What should we expect from a night at a newly opened CR7 hotel? Mirrors. A mirror for every wall that isn't already adorned with a framed image of Cristiano Ronaldo himself. It's going to be like a Ronaldo funhouse, the Portuguese seemingly lurking around every corner, telling you to go to bed.
Ronaldo also gets in the holiday spirit by wishing “everyone Merry Christmas, have a good year and be happy - which for me is the most important.”
If Ronaldo wants to send some of his £288,000-a-week salary my way, I’d be more than happy for the next year. If he wants to let me crash at his $18.5 million luxury apartment in New York, I’d settle for that too.
