So, it turns out that when Barcelona isn’t kicking out it’s youth prospects because of it’s shady dealings, those youth prospects have an absolute blast playing soccer. And who wouldn’t when, at the age of 11, you can already do cooler s*** on the pitch than the vast majority of the world?
Driving that point home is Sergi Oriol, a forward for Barca’s U12 B side, which means that there might be an entire set of forwards on the A-team better than him. Watch the video and wrap your mind around that.
I mean come on! How many of you out there have ever turned past a defender like that in front of goal? I know I never have. And if I did, I would probably be so excited that I would blast the ball a good 10 yards over the bar.
But, gosh darn it, I just can’t bring myself to enviously hate the kid because he just looks so happy after he scores. I get stoked just watching it.
Keep on doin’ what you do, Sergi. I sincerely hope that Barcelona doesn’t “regularize” you.
