Chelsea defeated West Ham on Monday to go 10 points clear at the top of the table with only 11 matches remaining. With Eden Hazard playing out of his goddamn mind, Diego Costa constantly threatening in every sense of the word and N’Golo Kante bossing things in front of the formidable pairing of David Luiz and Gary Cahill, the title race is over.
Chelsea are balanced, lethal and managed by a crazed mastermind that’s turned Victor Moses into one of the best footballers in the league. For West Ham, it’s just been one of those seasons where supporters can embrace the safety of mediocrity, or they can decide to lose their s*** just to feel some kind of way.
For one fan, life is too short to not abide by the theory that if you ain’t first, you’re last.
Uncompensated for the loss of the "West Ham way", which Sir Alex Ferguson doubts ever existed, and outraged at seeing it being perfected by Chelsea, a West Ham supporter did what mankind usually resorts to when a delusional ideal is challenged: he tried to fight everybody.
This spectacular counter-attack from Chelsea, finished by Hazard, sent him charging onto the field to berate the team.
