Lionel Messi aided a young pitch invader’s escape on Saturday during Inter Miami’s 1-1 draw vs. Charlotte. Watch as Messi helps pitch invader with a little push to jumpstart their escape.
During the game a young fan made a mad dash for the Argentine to quickly snap a selfie. Messi spotted security hot on the fan’s tail and quickly got the photo before the fan had to make a rapid departure.

“Escape” might not be the best word to describe the encounter as security did catch the young man and carry him off the field. The youngster won’t care though as he got his photo which has since surfaced online.

This marks the second time this season that Messi has tried to help a child escape from security. During Miami’s 2-2 draw vs. Colorado Rapids in April he was shielding security away from a girl and telling her to run.
