A crucial Dani Olmo clearance vs England helped lead Spain to a record fourth Euros title on Saturday with the Spaniards winning 2-1.
Spain had a corner to defend in the 90th minute after taking the lead three minutes prior courtesy of Mikel Oyarzabal.
As the corner was swung into the Spanish box, FOX’s commentators Ian Darke and Landon Donovan could hardly get words out as chaos ensued.
Declan Rice rose in the air to meet the cross and directed a powerful header that goalkeeper Unai Simon palmed away. The ball only went as far as Marc Guéhi who redirected the ball toward net with Olmo on the line to save the day.
Darke and Donovan were speechless until the dust settled.

Unfortunately, Darke — who is a fantastic commentator we admire — had a mix-up of names with John Stones and Rice. He then could only let out a stunned “oh” as England nearly scored another late goal at the Euros.
There were a solid eight seconds of silence until a stunned Donovan asked how England didn’t score.
WHAT. A. SAVE.

Olmo finished the tournament with three goals, sharing the Golden Boot with four other players including Harry Kane. This clearance should just count as his fourth goal of the tournament.
Give him the award!
