Wednesday’s Copa América semifinal ended with Colombia defeating Uruguay 1-0 and Darwin Núñez punching fans in the stands of Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina.
The semifinal was another classic CONMEBOL clash that saw 24 fouls, six yellow cards and a red card. After the game tensions were high with the Colombians celebrating and Uruguay players and staff getting physical.

Chaos then erupted when Uruguay players including Liverpool star Núñez entered the stands to fight the largely pro-Colombia crowd.

It’s unclear what started the fight. Reports indicate that Colombian fans got involved with the section holding the family members of Uruguay players.
Uruguay's Jose Maria Gimenez spoke with a reporter after the game saying that their families were in danger.

Colombia will face Argentina in the final on Sunday in Miami, Florida.
