Brazil and Palmeiras superstar Endrick caught fans’ attention with his goal celebration against Liverpool during Thursday’s Copa Libertadores match. The Endrick Kong celebration is already iconic.
The 17-year-old phenom’s goal and celebration started a small skirmish as he extended Palmeiras’ lead to 3-0 in the 82nd minute and pounded his chest after finding the back of the net.

Endrick clarified the meaning of the celebration after the fans at Liverpool’s Estadio Centenario booed the youngster thinking he was trying to provoke them.
"They thought it was a provocation, but I managed to speak in Spanish with them. I like the Kong movie, that's it, this is a gesture I make. I did it in the last game against Independiente, and it was very well received when I finished," Endrick said.

This was Endrick’s second goal in three Libertadores games that he’s featured in.
Palmeiras would score two more goals in stoppage time to demolish Liverpool 5-0.
Endrick will join Real Madrid this summer as he looks set to become the latest Brazilian superstar to thrive in LaLiga. He’ll join up with fellow countrymen Rodrygo, Éder Militão and Vinicius Jr. at the Bernabeu.
