Giroud is interested in coming to MLS this summer… only if his club choose to not renew his contract at the end of the season.
According to ESPN, 37-year-old Olivier Giroud would not rule out a move to the United States as his next destination, only if current club AC Milan opt not to extend his contract before the end of the 2023/24 season.

Giroud, who signed for the Rossoneri in 2021, has scored a whopping 15 goals so far in this campaign and played a big part in Milan’s long-awaited Serie A title in 2022. The France legend has tallied 23 goal contributions across all competitions this season.
Now, Considering his good form and consistent call-ups to the France National Team that continue increasing his goal tally as the all-time leading French goalscorer, the striker would prefer to remain playing in Italy for one more season. If that’s not the case, MLS would be his first option.
The Frenchman, currently teammate of the USMNT’s Christian Pulisic and Yunus Musah, is said to be keen on joining an MLS franchise in a major market — a similar decision taken by national team compatriot Hugo Lloris, now goalkeeper at LAFC.
Giroud has reportedly already held talks with multiple clubs from MLS amidst the uncertainty of his future and would like to play in either New York or Los Angeles if he is to make the move to play in the U.S. next season.
